Say hello to our friends Sarah and Ben, from Beabea's Bakery. A place certified neat by Aucklanders far and wide, Beabea's Bakery takes both a nostalgic and elevated approach to their comfy baked goods.
We asked Sarah and Ben a few boring questions so you can get to know them, and their neat place, a little better.

Tell us a little bit about your role at Beabea's Bakery.
Sarah: I run the front of house and take care of most of the admin side of things. Ben: I’m mostly wandering around with my measuring tape thinking about how we can get more equipment (toys) into the bakery. I manage the bakery team too.
What's your favourite Auckland meal?
Sarah: Xian Food Bar #37. Ben: The market fish from Ragtag.
Whats the most interesting item on your menu and why?
Sarah: I’d say the marmite leek scroll, we make the marmite by fermenting our leftover sourdough. Ben: I'm pretty into our take on banana bread. We make a panettone with banana and milk chocolate. The texture is something else.
What's something in Auckland you think everyone should experience at least once?
Sarah: A summer swim at Cheltenham beach at peak high tide. Ben: Swimming at St Leonard's Beach on a clear summer day. Ben: Swimming at St Leonards beach on a clear summer day.
Ok, quickfire round. What's the theme song to your life?
Sarah: Misty Frequencies, Che Fu. Ben: Drivin’, Eyedress.
Sum up Beabea's in three words.
Sarah: Yummy, familiar, treaties. Ben: Live, laugh, lunch.
