Interesting People, Craig Whiteside

Let’s be honest, milk is great, but who gets excited about milk? Milk is to coffee as the drummer from Coldplay is to Coldplay. What’s his name again? Our point exactly.
But people, now that’s interesting.
In our latest series, Interesting People, we spend some time with people who make everyday life a little more, well, interesting. No fluff, just the real stuff behind what they do, and why they do it.
Tell us what you do, in the least LinkedIn way possible.
Arable farmer. Growing quality crops to help feed the world.
What’s something you’re proud of right now?
My family and how hard they are working to achieve their dreams.
If you had to give a TED Talk tomorrow, what would it be about?
Oats, of course!!!! I could talk about arable farming for days.
What smell makes you nostalgic?
Harvest time, with the colours, smells, and long days, everyone reaping the rewards of the busy season.
What’s something you’ve changed your mind about recently?
Not sure, my wife Anna would probably say I’m too stubborn to change my mind haha.
What’s the most unexpectedly useful thing you’ve learned in your career?
That people and relationships are our biggest assets in life.
Who do you find interesting, and why?
Craig Piggott from Halter. I love technology on farms, and this will revolutionize the way we farm in the future, even crop farming! Not sure we need collars on oats yet though...
