While oats might not have much to say at the office Christmas party, their sustainable profile and low impact on the land make up for it. To help increase the demand for this glorious grain and in turn, contribute to a more diversified farming landscape in Aotearoa, Morgan set about the task of making a homegrown oat milk almost four years ago.

Turns out it's not that easy to make oat milk in New Zealand. Some even said it was impossible. Well, not quite. At a time when supporting local has become even more important, we're pleased to be making a truly New Zealand oat milk, made with New Zealand oats. We sat down with the unofficial oat queen to ask her some questions. Here's Morgan as you've never seen her before. Well, technically, never read her before.
(By the way here, here and here are a handful of other interesting interviews she's appeared in.)

Tell us Morgan, what’s the theme song to your life?
Donna Summer - She works hard for the money...jk. I'd like to think it would be a mix of Bee Gees - More Than a Woman and Chic - Good Times. We all need a good dose of confidence, feminism and fun times.
As someone who knows their way around a supermarket trolley, what food combination do you think should be made illegal?
Not a combo but honestly, all energy drinks should be banned. They're seriously not good for anyone's health. Not to mention the taste. I'm pretty open with food combos, I think that's where the magic happens. I gave my Spanish friend a hot cross bun and he put ham and cheese on it, and I thought, why not?
On the topic of things that are nice, what smell makes you nostalgic?
I walked down to the beach this morning and it had just rained. I was standing on the grass beside the beach and could smell the wet grass and the ocean combined and it just reminded me of camping in the summer.
You find yourself marooned on an island. What 3 items will you have with you?
Well they’re not technically items but Nic (husband) and Hemingway (dog) would be there with me. I guess the third item would probably be a light aircraft, pre-fuelled. Otherwise, actual items; a solar powered kindle, a year's supply of Boring, and my bed. I love my bed.
OK last one for the road. We think we know the answer to this, but better give the people what they want. David Brent or Michael Scott?
No questions about it, David Brent memes are my go-to for a lol.

What does your family think your job is?
My daughter swears I “sell sauce” and my husband insists I “just move boxes around.”
